Cosmetology licensees in Texas are required to complete 4 hours of TDLR-approved continuing education every 2 years. Your education is due before your license is renewed.
The education must contain one hour of sanitation and three hours of cosmetology-related topics.
A licensee who is at least 65 years old and has held a cosmetology license for at least 15 years is required to complete one hour of continuing education in sanitation.

How does this course work?

Texas Cosmetology Additional information
Texas cosmetologists, estheticians, and manicurists must fulfill a requirement of 4 hours of continuing education to renew their Texas cosmetology license. Our online continuing education classes are approved to fulfill the Texas cosmetology continuing education requirements.
That said, not all online continuing education courses are approved in Texas for license renewal, so before taking a course other than ours, you will want to make sure that the course is approved. If your continuing education provider is not approved by the Texas Department of Regulation and Licensing, then the course will not count toward your continuing education hours needed to renew your license.
Do you report my results to the Texas Department of Regulation and Licensing?
