Cosmetology licensees in Texas are required to complete 4 hours of TDLR-approved continuing education every 2 years. Your education is due before your license is renewed.

The education must contain one hour of sanitation and three hours of cosmetology-related topics.

A licensee who is at least 65 years old and has held a cosmetology license for at least 15 years is required to complete one hour of continuing education in sanitation.

How does this course work?

After you purchase a course online, you will be taken to a receipt page which has a custom link for the purchased course. This same receipt information will be emailed to you as well.
Click the course link in the receipt to access the course registration page where you will be requested to enter your license number and some additional security questions to register. Note:You will receive an activation email with a link to activate your account, login and access your course.
Once you’ve completed the course you will be presented with your certificate. You can print the certificate for your records.
